On the 1st floor of the House of Tourism, you can visit the museum of history of Champtoceaux settled by the association : Les Amis du Vieux Châteauceaux.
You can find there : the history of Champtoceaux : pannels, drawings ... and :
- archeological findings collected while archeological researches.
- heritage objects from bargemen mutual assistance association (created in 1841) : wooden statue of Saint Clement standing on a anchor, model of a lighter (barge).
- model of the medieval citadel before its destruction in 1420 (at the reception of the House of Tourism).
Access to this museum is free of charge, entrance by the House of Tourism, open from April to October from Tuesdays to Sunday included (closed Monday except in July and August and on bank holidays) from 10 am to 12 : 30 am and from 2 pm to 6 pm.
